The
Fondazione Valter Longo is a non-profit organization founded by Prof. Valter Longo PhD with the aim of achieving healthy Longevity, starting in childhood and continuing throughout the entire life cycle. The Foundation promotes healthy eating habits that can slow down the onset of important diseases related to aging, as well as chronic diseases: cancer, diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, autoimmune diseases, such as Crohn’s disease and multiple sclerosis, and neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s.
To achieve its institutional objectives, the Foundation dedicates its daily efforts from both a preventive and therapeutic perspective through:
- promoting, financing, and directly carrying out health and social care and nutritional counselling, on the basis of solid scientific data, in order to treat, prevent or support people affected by various diseases who are facing conditions of emergency or mental, physical and economic hardship, and to offer guidance to all those who wish to pursue healthy longevity;
- raising awareness and educating people of all ages about issues related to nutrition and a correct, healthy lifestyle based on scientific data.
Our commitment to gender equality is reflected in a structured plan that promotes equity, inclusion and equal opportunities within the Foundation. The Gender Equality Plan sets out the objectives, actions and measures adopted by the Foundation in this regard.
